Fascinating article. Iβve been thinking that coming up with a set of ethos or best practices for community engagement that is propagated/ broadcast through regular media and internet to existing community groups, like churches, sports teams, schools that would take on much of the work of civic expansion instead of building new groups to do that work. A central clearinghouse or hub would hep propagate and advise existing local groups to follow and adhere to the basic standards or best practices towards building civic engagement.
The hub could help coordinate those affiliate groups towards the common goal of increasing civic engagement.
