I stan cooking shows and the evolution of them! I was very much a Good Eats / Alton Brown stan back in the day, with shoutouts to Martha, Ina, and Nigella along the way.
These days, cooking shows have exploded with YouTube and TikTok. Although sometimes heβs a bit shouty, Joshua Weissman has one of the best channels. His 24 hours in a restaurant video is required watching for any foodie.
cooking shows have been a touch point for my family of varied interests and sensibilities for a long time! somehow it bridges all divides. I have always loved good eats, iron chef, chopped, the best thing I ever ate, beat bobby flay, and cutthroat kitchen (never could get into those wholesome british bake off shows though π)
I just recently started watching food content again -- reverse engineering with chris morocco. would recommend!
Also a Broadway Stan!!!!!!!! I have season tickets to the Broadway theater where I live in Salt Lake City and have been taking singing lessons just to connect more to the part that makes me so happy π₯° Enjoy your bday celebration. That sounds like a dream!
Yay for taking singing lessons elle! I also love to sing even though I've never done it in an official capacity but I've started going to singing circles and I love the opportunity it gives me to riff and play with harmony (something that I started practicing while in taize services where you sing something over and over and over again like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCr2tn4yYKY&t=9s). What broadway song would you sing if you could?
